Audit Manager

Forge Talent are pleased to be working with a high-growth consumer-facing business based in Manchester who are looking to appoint an experienced Audit Manager.

This is a great opportunity for an ACA-qualified accountant coming from an external audit background who is looking to make the move into industry and take on a broad, commercially focused role within a growing business.

You’ll sit within the wider Finance function and work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, helping to ensure the company is well prepared for its year-end requirements while also getting involved in wider finance projects and improvements.

What you'll be doing:

• Taking ownership of the annual audit process from the Finance side.
• Working closely with external auditors and internal Finance teams.
• Making sure information, documentation and reporting are delivered accurately and on time.
• Supporting the business with technical accounting queries and year-end matters.
• Reviewing financial processes and identifying areas where things could work better.
• Helping strengthen controls and improve the overall finance environment.
• Working with senior stakeholders across Finance and the wider business.
• Getting involved in wider projects as the business continues to grow.

What we're looking for:

• ACA qualified, ideally trained within a Big Four or Top 10 accountancy firm.
• Strong external audit experience.
• Good technical accounting knowledge.
• Comfortable working with senior stakeholders.
• Commercially minded with strong attention to detail.
• Able to manage multiple deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Someone who wants to move beyond practice and build their career within industry.
