Support Worker

We are currently recruiting experienced and compassionate Support Workers to join our agency team, supporting young people and adults in supported living settings.This role involves providing person-centred support to individuals with a range of needs, including learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, and complex behavioural or emotional support requirements.As a Support Worker in supported living, you will help individuals maintain independence, develop life skills, and access their local community while promoting dignity, choice, and wellbeing.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver high-quality person-centred support tailored to individual needsSupport service users with daily living tasks, including cooking, cleaning, budgeting, shopping, and household managementPromote independence, confidence, and life skills developmentSupport individuals with accessing education, work placements, appointments, and community activitiesProvide emotional support and build positive professional relationshipsSupport with personal care where requiredAdminister or prompt medication in line with training and policiesFollow care plans, behaviour support plans, and risk assessmentsMaintain accurate daily notes, incident reports, and handover recordsSafeguard vulnerable young people and adults at all timesSupport individuals with behaviours that may challenge where applicableWork collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and support teamsFollow all agency and client policies and proceduresRequirementsEssential:Previous experience as a Support Worker, Healthcare Assistant, Residential Support Worker, or similarExperience supporting young people and/or adults in supported living, community, or care settingsGood understanding of safeguarding and person-centred careStrong communication and interpersonal skillsCompassionate, reliable, and professional approachAbility to remain calm and responsive in challenging situationsFlexibility to work agency shifts, including weekends, nights, and sleep-insRight to work in the UKEnhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)Desirable:NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care or equivalentExperience supporting individuals with autism, learning disabilities, mental health needs, or challenging behaviourMedication administration trainingPMVA/MAPA trainingFull UK driving licence and access to a vehicleWhat We OfferCompetitive hourly ratesFlexible agency shiftsWeekly payFast registration processOngoing consultant supportOpportunities across multiple supported living servicesTraining and development opportunitiesJBRP1_UKTJ
