Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the Financial Controller will play a pivotal role in strengthening financial control, driving performance, and supporting the delivery of the company’s strategic objectives in a fast-paced environment. Working as part of the SMT, you will lead the management accounting, reporting, and control for the Finance function, ensuring accurate and insightful reporting, strong compliance, and the continual improvement of financial processes.The roleBase pay rangeDirect message the job poster from Citadel SourceWhat the client offersOpportunities for progression within a growing brandIf you are interested in this exciting opportunity, please reach out to Grant Chalmers-Stevens at Citadel Source.ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor and develop the Management Accounts and Reporting teams to deliver timely, accurate, and value-adding analysisEnsure the finance function is structured and resourced effectively to meet business needsFoster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvementOversee the month-end close process and deliver high-quality management reporting with insightful variance analysisEnsure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and statutory requirementsMaintain robust internal controls, financial policies, and governance frameworksAct as the key point of contact for external auditors and tax advisorsCoordinate the annual budget and quarterly reforecasting cycles, integrating detailed operational and commercial inputsProvide strategic financial insight to support decision-making across the businessPartner with the Operations and FP&A teams to identify opportunities for efficiency and improvementLead or support key finance projects, including systems improvement, process automation, and performance enhancement initiativesAbout you / QualificationsYou will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with demonstrable post-qualification experience within FMCG, manufacturing, or similar fast-paced environments. The role suits a strong leader who thrives in a collaborative setting, with excellent technical knowledge, commercial awareness, and a passion for driving both accuracy and efficiency.
