Finance and project professionals will sometimes say that it doesn't matter if they are managing finance projects for a prestigious luxury brand or a widget manufacturer, that finance is finance and projects are projects, and if that is the case, this might not be the role for you as this is a real opportunity for you to use your financial project management skills to indirectly support some of our most vulnerable people in the local community working as a Finance Project Manager for a complex charity based in Leeds. What you'll be doing: The Finance Project Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of specific projects within the organisation and you will be responsible for the completion of multiple projects, running concurrently and will be involved with the planning, design, execution, monitoring and controlling aspects of each project – ensuring that it is completed on time and to budget. Key areas of delivery will include: Ability to lead projects such as IT systems implementation etc.

Lead a project team, with authority and responsibility from the project board, to run the project on a day-to-day basis.
Managing projects in line with PRINCE 2 methodology.
Setting project budgets in conjunction with project sponsor and report on performance versus budget
What you'll need to offer: As an experienced finance projects manager professional you'll have honed your experience across a range of different areas and be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience: A strong track record in project and programme management including multiple project management
Evidenced experience of project management of a successful IT implementation
Ability to develop and nurture productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Strong decision making and time management skills
A ‘can do’ proactive approach, ability to problem solve/generate new ideas/solutions quickly
Ability to organise workload, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Awareness of own strengths and areas for personal development
Values and beliefs aligned to those of the charity
Flexibility and ability to adapt to the changing demands of the role and operating environment
Commitment to continuous organisational improvements
Current Driving Licence
Project management qualification – PRINCE 2 / program management / six Sigma green or black belt / lean working
