Position Details

Job Title: Kitchen Assistant

Location: Manor House School, Slinfold

Pay Rate: £14.24 per hour

Hours: 7:00am to 3:00pm

Break: 30-minute unpaid lunch break

Start: ASAP

About the Role

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the school kitchen. Duties will include:

Assisting with food preparation and meal service

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene

Cleaning kitchen equipment and work areas

Emptying and loading dishwashers

Washing pots, pans, and utensils

Supporting the catering team with daily kitchen tasks

Adhering to food safety and health & safety regulations

Requirements

Previous kitchen or catering experience is desirable

Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate preferred

Good understanding of food safety and cleanliness standards

Reliable, hardworking, and able to work as part of a team

Due to the school's rural location, candidates must be able to drive and have access to their own vehicle
