General Production Operator

Just Recruitment is currently working with a growing manufacturing organisation based in Halstead, who are looking to recruit a General Production Operator to join their team. The key purpose of this role is to play an important role in the day-to-day running of production operations. You will be responsible for safely operating basic machinery, supporting production line activities, and helping ensure our products consistently meet high quality standards. This is a permanent role working on either a fixed shift pattern of Mornings (6am-2pm) or Afternoons (2pm-10pm). Flexibility will be key to supporting changing production and operational demands. In this role, you will support the safe and efficient operation of the production area, ensuring machinery and production lines run smoothly while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and teamwork. Safely operate basic production machinery, in line with standard operating procedures. Support the set-up, operation, and ongoing monitoring of production lines, carrying out basic visual quality checks. Follow all health, safety, and other business requirements while working closely with colleagues to achieve production targets. Key candidate requirements: You will bring a positive, responsible approach to work and are comfortable operating in a manufacturing environment where safety, quality, and teamwork are essential. You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced production or manufacturing environment and understand the importance of following procedures. You will take health and safety seriously and pay close attention to quality and detail. You must enjoy working as part of a team, are reliable, and are willing to learn and develop new skills.
