Role: Automation & Controls Engineer

Shift: Monday to Friday Days (08:00 - 16:30)

Salary: Circa £52,000

This is what you'll be doing

As an Automation & Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and developing the site's automation infrastructure while driving engineering improvements across the factory.

Responsibilities:

* Supporting and maintaining PLC, HMI, SCADA and variable speed drive systems across the site.

* Providing specialist automation support during complex plant breakdowns and electrical fault finding.

* Designing, modifying and commissioning automation and electrical control systems.

* Supporting process improvements, including electrical panel design, P&ID development and commissioning activities.

* Leading and supporting capital investment projects from concept through to completion.

* Identifying and implementing automation improvements to improve reliability, efficiency and production performance.

* Researching and introducing new technologies that support the site's long-term engineering strategy.

* Working closely with production, engineering and contractors to deliver successful projects safely and efficiently.

What you'll need to succeed

* Engineering qualification within Electrical, Automation or Controls Engineering.

* Previous experience programming and fault finding PLC, HMI and SCADA systems.

* Strong electrical fault-finding skills within an automated manufacturing environment.
