Data Engineer

Job Description

We are urgently looking for 2 strong Data Engineers to support the data capabilities of the Accounts platform. The main focus will be on building and maintaining Snowflake-based data solutions, data pipelines, ETL processes, and data services.

The ideal candidate should be hands-on with Snowflake, SQL, Python/PySpark and DBT, with good experience working in AWS cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines.
  • Develop ETL/ELT processes using Snowflake, SQL, Python/PySpark and DBT.
  • Design and develop data transformation and processing solutions.
  • Implement data quality, monitoring and reconciliation.
  • Work on data modelling and data architecture.
  • Support secure and reliable data platforms.
  • Troubleshoot pipeline and production issues.
  • Automate data engineering processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with developers, architects, business stakeholders and other engineering teams.
  • Follow Agile development and modern engineering practices.

Must-Have Skills

  • Strong hands-on Snowflake experience.
  • Experience with DBT and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Good understanding of data modelling.
  • Experience with modern cloud data engineering.
  • AWS experience, particularly DMS, Lambda, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch and CloudFormation.
  • Understanding of data security, RBAC and governance.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
