Technical Advisor

Reed is supporting a well-established manufacturer within the aluminium glazing industry with the recruitment of a Technical Advisor to join their team in Yatton, North Somerset .

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience in the window, door, glazing or aluminium systems sector who is looking to move into a technical office-based position.

The successful candidate will become a key point of contact for customers, providing product advice, technical guidance and support on fabrication and installation queries.

You do not need to know every technical detail from day one, but a background within the industry and an understanding of how aluminium window and door systems are manufactured or installed is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical support to customers, fabricators and installers.

Advise on product selection and suitability for specific applications.

Assist with fabrication and installation queries.

Interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Provide guidance on industry standards and compliance requirements.

Respond to customer enquiries via phone and email.

Work with internal teams to resolve technical issues.

Supply technical performance data and product information as required.

Occasionally attend customer or site meetings.

About You

We're particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have experience within:

Aluminium window and door fabrication

Installation of aluminium glazing systems

Fenestration manufacturing

Technical support within the glazing industry

Estimating or customer support roles for window and door systems

You'll also have:

Confidence speaking with customers over the phone and via email.

Good attention to detail.

Strong IT skills.

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday: 8:30am - 5:00pm

Friday: 8:30am - 4:00pm
