Mediq UK are a supplier of healthcare consumables, healthcare equipment, cleaning, and hygiene products, as well as healthcare devices to hospitals, care homes, and other facilities serving the healthcare sector in the UK.
We are recruiting for a Key Account Manager based in Castle Donington to join our Acute Sales team. This is a hybrid role, so you can split between working from home and in the office.
Please note there will be a requirement to travel to Enfield, North London occasionally.
Reporting into the Head of Acute Sales, you will grow and develop new and lapsed accounts within defined portfolio against targets to achieve maximum potential.
Responsibilities:
Produce a business plan for existing and new customer portfolio in line with budget
Study reports, complete gap analysis on customer accounts, and review customer trends with a view to identifying ways to increase sales & margin
Work with credit control to ensure customers comply with terms of trading
Grow and develop new and lapsed accounts within defined portfolio against targets working with other sales staff to achieve maximum potential
Provide quotes for customers to achieve agreed financial targets (Sales and Margin)
Grow the value of existing customers by constantly seeking opportunities to extend volume, range and own brand offering
Understand the Mediq USP and tailor it to add value to customer offering
Prospect new & lost customers
Maintain appropriate records on clients and sales activities and complete any customer reporting that may be required within agreed timescales
Maintain existing business through effective customer contact
Deal with all customer issues/ queries/ requests for product and service information promptly, efficiently and courteously, ensuring appropriate follow-up is completed where require
Provision of sales data, reports and customer specific analysis
Customer forecasting requirements
Work with other business stakeholders to ensure customer price agreements and maintained and accurate, including customer alignment, overall margin management, price increase management, cost changes, UOM issues.
Deal with category queries including stock & non stock items, delisted and obsolete SKU’s, code changes and supersession
Follow identified safe working practice
What are we looking for?
We are looking for an experienced Sales Individual who can demonstrate proven sales success in large complete sales environments.
It would also be great if you have:
Knowledge of the Healthcare sector (desirable)
Computer literate
Good communication skills both written and verbal
Organised and can plan own workload, prioritising effectively
