Full Stack Engineer - Python / ReactEdinburgh - 1 day a week in officeAI-Powered Computer Vision for Global Consumer BrandsI'm partnered with a fast-growing AI & Computer Vision company building technology that helps some of the world's biggest consumer brands understand how their products are performing across physical retail.Their platform uses advanced image recognition and AI to analyse real-world retail environments at huge scale, currently processing 1M+ images every month across customers globally.They're a ~25-person, engineering-led company with around half the business sitting across software engineering and machine learning, and they're now looking for a Full Stack Engineer to strengthen their core product team.What you'll work onBuilding and shipping features end-to-end, from the backend and data layer through to the customer-facing productDeveloping scalable backend services and APIs using Python & FastAPIConnecting backend systems with React / TypeScript applicationsBuilding and maintaining integrations between the platform, internal services and customer systemsOwning your work through testing, deployment and productionWorking closely with Machine Learning and customer-facing teams to turn complex AI technology into reliable productsUsing AI coding tools and automation throughout your engineering workflowWhat we're looking forAround 3-5 years of software engineering experienceStrong backend experience with Python and modern API developmentFastAPI experience is ideal, although strong Django / Flask engineers are welcomeComfortable working across the stack - roughly 70% backend / 30% frontendEnough React / TypeScript knowledge to take a feature from backend through to the userPrevious experience in a startup or small engineering team where you've owned projects end-to-endStrong experience using AI development tools as part of your day-to-day engineering workflowWhy join?Work on genuinely interesting AI / Computer Vision technology solving real-world problemsJoin a highly technical, engineering-led team with strong ML and backend expertiseTake genuine end-to-end ownership rather than working on one small part of a large systemWork directly alongside Machine Learning, Product and customer-facing engineering teamsOpportunity to broaden your skills across frontend, infrastructure and deployment while keeping Python/backend engineering as your core focusAI is embedded into how the engineering team works - not just something bolted onto the productWorking Model - Preference is for engineers who can work hybrid from Edinburgh (1-2 days per week)
