OverviewSite Reliability Engineer role at Tribal Group. Remote UK-based opportunity.This is a full-time remote role focused on maintaining reliable, scalable, and high-performance SaaS services across cloud environments.Role and responsibilitiesDesign, build, and operate large-scale systems with emphasis on reliability, efficiency, and automationMaintain and improve production systems for availability, latency, and scalabilitySupport application deployment and configuration to production environmentsBuild or enhance automation tools (Ansible, scripts, utilities)Implement and manage observability tools (DataDog, New Relic, Azure Monitor)Analyze logs and metrics to identify trends and improve reliabilitySupport incident response and perform root-cause analysisCollaborate with engineering and customer teams to deliver proactive, preventative supportParticipate in on-call rotations in line with Tribal’s On-Call PolicyThis is a full-time, remote UK-based role, with occasional national travel for team collaboration or customer engagements.What you’ll bringStrong experience with AWS (or Azure) environmentsSolid knowledge of Linux, Apache, and PHP in production contextsFamiliarity with automation/configuration tools such as AnsibleExperience with monitoring and logging platforms (DataDog, New Relic, Azure Monitor)Good understanding of database fundamentals (SQL Server / Oracle)Hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsCustomer-facing experience with incident or service management tools (RemedyForce, ServiceNow)Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to translate technical details clearlyNice-to-have:Experience coding or scripting (Python, PowerShell, or Bash)Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or similar)ITIL Foundation or cloud certifications (AWS SysOps Administrator, AWS Solutions Architect)About TribalTribal is a leading EdTech company delivering software solutions to the global education market.
