Remedy Education is looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or support worker who can support children in an SEN school in South East London.
Our client is a specialist educational provision for young people with complex social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. They need an passionate Teaching Assistant or Support Worker to join them on a long-term basis to start ASAP. With the complex needs of the students, we are looking for individuals who are capable and enthusiastic to work in a challenging but highly rewarding environment.Remedy Education is looking for a dedicated and caring individual who can support children on a 1:1 basis or within small groups. Personal care may be involved.
The position is open to all experienced Teaching Assistants and support workers who have some experience in a similar role. Depending on performance the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.

Minimum rate of pay - £95 - £105 per day
Hours - 8:20 am - 3.30pm : Mon - Fri (term time only)
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience in a similar setting
LEVEL 2 Teaching Assistant/or equivalent and above is preferable but not essential
GCSE Maths and English and Computer literate
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year is preferable but not essential
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH REMEDY EDUCATION, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
