Job Description

Job Description

Are you an experienced, Level 3 qualified Early Years Practitioner looking for rewarding opportunities across the Wirral?

GAC Education is recruiting dedicated Level 3 Nursery Practitioners to work across a variety of private day nurseries, preschools, and school-based early years foundation stage (EYFS) settings across the Wirral peninsula (including Birkenhead, Wallasey, Heswall, and surrounding areas).

Whether you are looking for the stability of a long-term position or the flexibility of day-to-day nursery cover, we offer roles that match your availability, travel preferences, and career goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering high-quality care and education aligned directly with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

  • Acting as a Key Person to a group of children, tracking progress, carrying out observations, and planning individualised next steps.

  • Creating safe, engaging, and inclusive indoor and outdoor learning environments that foster curiosity and development.

  • Maintaining robust safeguarding standards, promoting child protection, and supporting personal care routines.

  • Building positive, collaborative relationships with parents, carers, and nursery managers.

Candidate Requirements
  • Full and relevant Level 3 Qualification in Early Years / Childcare (e.g., CACHE, NVQ, NCFE, or equivalent).

  • In-depth practical knowledge of the EYFS statutory framework and child protection procedures.

  • An Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willingness to complete a new check during registration).

  • A valid Paediatric First Aid (PFA) certificate is highly desirable.

  • A proactive, warm, and energetic approach to early years care.
