Learning Support Assistant | Thurrock | ASAP Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant with previous experience supporting pupils with SEND in a primary school? We are working with a Good-rated primary school in Thurrock seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their supportive and inclusive team. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Learning Support Assistant to work across Nursery to Year 6 within a welcoming two-form entry school. The school has a strong commitment to providing a positive learning experience for every child, with a dedicated 10-place Autism Resource Centre and specialist support for pupils with additional needs. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work alongside class teachers and the wider SEND team to provide tailored support and help pupils make progress academically, socially and emotionally. The role of Learning Support Assistant will involve:Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SENDSupporting pupils with autism and a range of additional needsWorking alongside teachers to adapt learning and encourage engagementPromoting positive behaviour, confidence and independenceCreating a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environmentWorking closely with the SENCo, teachers and wider support staffThe successful Learning Support Assistant will have:Previous SEND experience within a primary school essentialExperience supporting children with autism would be highly desirableA nurturing, patient and proactive approachExcellent communication and teamwork skillsA genuine passion for supporting children with additional needsA strong commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeingThe school offers a supportive staff team, experienced leadership and a collaborative approach to professional development through its multi-academy trust.
