The Role:
As Executive Chef, you will effectively manage the kitchen and food function of the hotel to an optimum level.
Working closely with General Manager, you will be committed to maintaining all targets financial and operational, with the emphasis on forward planning.
You will ensure the highest quality food and customer service in all areas.
An Executive Chef will proactively drive team performance, Cost Control, Sustainability and Health & Safety initiatives within the Kitchen
Full control and accountability to lead, develop and inspire the kitchen team.
You should be extremely goal focused, have a high drive for achievement and the tenacity to achieve objectives and overcome challenges.
Keeping the team up to date about departmental, hotel and company activities throughout business expectations.
Strong communication skills relevant information is cascaded to your team: including financial feedback, customer feedback, customer feedback reports; taking appropriate actions for improvement.
Carrying out interviews and contributing to the recruitment decisions.
Ensuring there is a seamless link between the kitchen and front of house teams.
Department cost control including ensuring team correctly manage stock wastage, costs, and monitoring other outgoings
To organise kitchen team to provide the right cover at the right time and within payroll budget
Responsible for ensuring visits from EHO and other audits are positive.
Following company control procedures in accordance with the company Internal audit requirements.
