I'm currently supporting an exciting defence engineering organisation with the recruitment of a Model Based Systems Engineer to join their team in Kidderminster.This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, leveraging advanced modeling techniques to develop and validate complex systems. As a key contributor, you will collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to drive system architecture and ensure seamless integration of model-based development processes.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, analyze, and validate system models using industry-standard modeling tools and languages (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, SysML).Contribute to the design and implementation of system architecture, ensuring alignment with project requirements and industry standards.Collaborate with hardware and software teams to integrate models into overall system development.Perform simulations to predict system behavior, identify potential issues, and optimize performance.Support requirement traceability and documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications.Participate in system reviews, technical meetings, and project planning sessions.Maintain thorough documentation of models, methodologies, and results to support ongoing development and future reference.What We’re Looking ForProven experience in model-based systems engineering within aerospace, defense, automotive, or similar industries.Proficiency with modeling and simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, IBM Rational Rhapsody, or SysML tools.Strong understanding of system architecture, requirements management, and systems integration.Ability to interpret and translate system requirements into detailed models.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Effective communication skills for collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (advanced degrees preferred).
