This is an excellent opportunity to provide skilled learning support while helping to maintain consistent practice across a team. You may coordinate interventions, mentor support staff, contribute to pupil plans and reviews, liaise with teachers and SEND professionals, and provide focused one-to-one or small-group support. You will promote independence, well-being and positive behaviour while keeping accurate records of progress and support.

Our consultants combine real classroom experience with in-depth recruitment expertise, meaning you'll receive practical support and honest guidance throughout your journey.

Opportunities will be available from September 2026 and may range from individual day-to-day bookings to long-term contracts providing greater continuity within one school.

The successful Senior Learning Support Assistant will have:

Substantial experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant or in a comparable education support role
Experience supporting pupils with SEND, additional learning needs or social, emotional and mental health needs
The confidence to mentor colleagues, coordinate interventions and contribute to pupil-support planning
A strong understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and inclusive practice
Excellent communication, organisation, record-keeping and teamwork skills
