Job Description

Supervisor needed for highways works in Warrington!

Site Supervisor - Highways Scheme

Location: Warrington

Rate: £- Ltd company available

Duration: 12 months

Shift pattern:

Supervision works will include days, nights and weekend works.

About the Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join a highways engineering scheme in Warrington. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and capable Supervisor with a strong background in delivering works on site, managing teams, and driving programme performance.

Previous hands-on experience with bridge joint installation is essential - the successful candidate must have been on the ground and installed bridge/expansion joints themselves.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating daily site activities, managing internal operatives and subcontractors, and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise day-to-day site operations and ensure works are delivered in line with programme requirements
  • Manage and coordinate gangs, subcontractors, and site resources effectively
  • Drive progress on site and proactively identify and resolve issues impacting delivery
  • Ensure works are completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards
  • Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and construction information
  • Conduct site briefings, toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with RAMS
  • Issue permits and oversee safe digging practices
  • Monitor productivity and support the Site Manager in achieving project milestones
  • Maintain strong communication with internal teams, clients, and supply chain partners
  • Promote a positive health and safety culture across the workforce

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous hands-on bridge/joint installation experience
  • SMSTS or SSSTS qualification
  • EUSR 1 & 2
  • CSCS Gold card
  • First aid qualification
  • Experience delivering highways and civil engineering works

This role is looking for someone to start within the next month.
