Salary: £119,140 - £129,500 per annum (depending on experience)
Type: Part Time

We are seeking an experienced and versatile General Practitioner to join a dynamic healthcare team at HMYOI Werrington, a male young offenders' institution in Staffordshire. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference by delivering high-quality healthcare to a patient population of approximately 118 individuals. You will lead GP clinics focused on minor acute illnesses, minor injuries, and the management of selected long-term conditions such as asthma.

This part-time role involves three clinics per week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with flexible start and finish times to support a healthy work-life balance.

What you will do:

  • Deliver high-quality primary care to patients within a secure healthcare setting.
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, diagnose conditions, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Manage minor illnesses, minor injuries, and selected long-term conditions, including asthma.
  • Act as a clinical resource for colleagues, supporting the wider healthcare team with specialist knowledge and guidance.
  • Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, and continuous professional development activities.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with professional standards.
